Remedial & Sports Massage

A recognised, credit-rated similar level to Swedish or Therapeutic massage, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu or equivalent. These must have included an appropriate level of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.

Nine weekends over a nine-month period.

The Western School’s thorough assessment processes ensure excellence among graduates and help earn the school’s unrivalled reputation. As with many schools, award of the Western School Professional Diploma is based on a process of continuous assessment throughout the course, but additionally, and very importantly, home practice, homework (with feedback), written and practical assessments and the completion of formal case studies ensure that the graduate is fully prepared to enter the profession as a demonstrably highly skilled therapist.

The premises at GCU used for Western School courses have full disabled access. Additionally, the school has a commitment to working with students with special needs. A significant number of therapists who have graduated from the Western have done so despite challenges such as dyslexia and visual impairment.

Students can benefit from the strong relationships fostered between the Western School and professional and semi-pro sporting organisations. Where you can choose to work alongside the physiotherapists in sports like Scottish football & rugby both in training and competition environments to gain further relevant experience and enhance CV’s.

Full Course Fee – £2050.

We require a £250 non-refundable deposit on registration to secure your place. The balance of £1800 can be paid in full at the start of the course or you can enquire about payment in 8 equal monthly instalments of £225. This is on the understanding that should you drop out of the course for any reason, the full balance becomes payable. Students sign a contract to this effect.
